From the left: Muslim poetry reader, Ahmed Hassani, Coalition for Human Rights in Iran; the Honorable Ed Broadbent (NDP); Event Organizer, MC, vocalist and cellist, Floralove Katz;  Reverend Paul Campbell, Faith Tabernacle Church; Cantor Danny Benlolo, Congregation Beth Shalom; little Samuel Davilmar from Faith Tabernacle; Stockwell Day Conservative Party Foreign Affairs Critic; Minister of Justice, the Honorable Irwin Cotler; poet Dr. Shakir Sheikh; and other special guests who sang and danced on stage for the grand finale. MPs Mr. Broadbent, Mr. Day and Ms. Susan Kadis (Liberal, Thornhill) spoke in English while BQ MP Richard Marceau spoke in French. Former NDP Leader Alexa McDonough, and many ambassadors and dignitaries, enjoyed an evening of gospel, Klezmer, Yiddish Theatre, Hebrew and classical music, and Persian poems. The international language of music and the CANASB theme brought together folks from diverse communities who signed the CANASB petition and also gave the performers and speakers a standing ovation.
